Hello, it’s Sasha again!

I’ve got another newsletter with some exciting updates to share, including tour dates, the official cover for The Ruins Beneath Us, and some insider info on how to read ahead of it’s release 📘✨

First and foremost — I am thrilled to share the cover designed by Sasha Vinogradova. Isn’t she stunning?!!?!

The design contains a few little easter eggs. First, I noticed that the vines in the top left corner swirling like my initials SES. I also love the heart woven into the pattern at the base; it reminds me of the carpet in Princess Fairytale Hall where I used to work as a character performer in Orlando! On either side of the word “US", you’ll notice that the pattern forms a shape akin to a gliding swan… another wink to a key element of the story 😉

The first edition will be a deluxe hardcover with stenciled sprayed-edge art. The sprayed edges are highly limited, so make sure to preorder now to ensure they have stock. Preorders help inform how the big retailers stock their shelves, and can launch a book onto the NYT bestseller list if there’s enough early momentum. It would mean the world to me if you’d help give this story it’s best possible chance!!! 🩵

Exciting news for those looking to connect in person— I’m going to be in Charleston, South Carolina on November 15. Disney Publishing is hosting an event at YALLFest to celebrate The Ruins Beneath Us. We’re making gorgeous fantasy inspired flower crowns and everyone who comes will be gifted an advanced copy. Speaking of advanced copies, I also have info on requesting one. Applications are officially open on NetGalley to read and review ahead of the official release on March 3rd.
